Welcome to Still. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Still iOS application, the still.app website, and any related services (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Still is built and operated by Duarte Oliveira, an independent developer. You can reach us at duartefmoliveira8@gmail.com.
2. The Service
Still is an iOS app designed to help you spend less time on distracting apps through focus sessions, scheduled blocking, and a shield that interrupts you when you reach for apps you asked to limit. The Service may also include this website, the waitlist, and any future companion features.
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We try to give notice for meaningful changes, but we are not obligated to maintain any specific feature.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service (or the minimum age required in your country for digital services under your local law). By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Your account and data
Still primarily runs on your device. Some of your data — such as which apps you choose to limit and your focus history — is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls APIs. You are responsible for keeping your device secure.
If you join the waitlist or contact us, we collect the email address you provide so we can reply or notify you about Still. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in a way that breaks any law or Apple's App Store policies.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except to the extent allowed by applicable law.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or any related systems.
- Use the Service to harass, harm, or impersonate another person.
6. Subscriptions and payments
Some features of Still may require a paid subscription. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are governed by your agreement with Apple. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone Settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under their refund policy.
7. Intellectual property
Still, including the app, the website, the name, the logo, and all related content, is owned by us and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
You retain ownership of any content you create in or import into the Service.
8. Third-party services
Still relies on Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks, and the App Store. These are provided by Apple and governed by Apple's own terms. We are not responsible for the availability or behavior of third-party services.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will achieve any particular outcome for you, including changes in your habits or screen time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Still and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app from your device. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates risk for us or other users.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email when reasonable. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Portugal, unless your local law grants you a non-waivable right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
